Well I had typed a long entry, but it mysteriously disappeared.... But here is the short version.

Working in Florida for New Years was great!! Being there once again was great. I missed my friends and I got to see most of them... I'm looking forward to visiting this SPRING BREAK to experience Expedition Everest first hand... I already own the ride shirt... just need to experience the ride! I miss my friends from there a lot.. and I can't wait to see them again.. Monique in particular... She was always one of the nicest peeps there!

Work here in Mcdowell has been good... I was offered a couple band positions here, but I would rather watch my goofy kids grow through their elementary years... I let them try a DDR game... and it was hilarious to watch!

Snow is great!!! I got a snow day on Monday and it was a great relief!! Ok, good enough for a summary of my long post... Hope to see you all soon!

We went to a wrestling show together on Saturday, which was a blast, and then today we went to eat at Texas (MY FAV) and hung out at my house watching Fight Club.. yeah, I know, what kind of person would show a new friend Fight Club... Well she read the book! It was great, and I actually had someone to cuddle with. It was great and I really missed having that.

Also, you can play it online!! I am 2-1!!! lol and it is my first day of playing it. I've been playing the songs on standard mode for the online play.. All of them I was sight dancing.. Lol, that sounds funny.. Sight dancing. in other words, I was playing them for the first time. It was odd playing online, but it was definitely an exciting feeling!! I'll be playing online a lot this weekend coming up! I'm using way too many exclamation points!! Ok I'm gone!!!

Tonight was my final game as a coach for this season. My kids have lost every game, but everyone has noticed they have gotten a lot better every game. Except for one set of parents.
I had a couple parents yelling at my DURING the first quarter of the game saying some degrading remarks, such as I was pitiful amongst other things. This was done in front of my kids from BOTH schools that I teach at. It was so disrespectful and embarassing. I have to put up with the fact that my kids heard the guy and wife yelling at me. I ignored him for a few seconds and then told him if he didn't stop I wouldn't put his kid in at all. I've never done anything rude to anyone down there. He deserved me saying that. I did put the kid in... and what do you know, the first play he received a three seconds call to all you basketball fans. He also played out of position the entire time he was in the game. The parents were arguing that I had a kid in that did not deserve to be in (a fifth grader and it could very well be his final game of organized basketball due to knee problems resulting from a car wreck). Their kid is a fourth grader, and it's kind of a tradition that the fifth graders get more play time mainly due to more experience. I have 12 players to put in which includes 7 fourth graders. All the parents understand the fact that the fourth graders need to just get the experience, play a little this year, and be prepared to be next year's starters EXCEPT for this set. Also, the mother is the principal's daughter. I did the professional thing and let him know what had happened to let him handle it. It's disheartening that parents can be worse than their own kids, even though the kid constantly bugged me about going in.
I doubt I will coach next year just because of this one incident. I've been professional and done my job. The kids had fun and learned about the game. A game is not all about winning and losing, it is about having fun and learning.
If you can't tell already, I'm bummed out majorly about all of this. I know the kids are probably not sure what to think about the encounter, and I'll probably have to think of something to explain the behavior of the immature man. I can't believe I called someone immature. I don't do that too often.
Sorry about the long rant, I just needed to get it out of my mind and put it somewhere else. I hope everyone is having a good week!

I enjoyed my day though, being able to hang out with a psycho friend who hits himself, Dexter (who proposed to me), and Crazy Justin.. Yeah you can see it in his eyes... One craazy mo-fo. And there was this one lady we were hanging out with.. She showed us a monkey... It went peekaboo. Brad was also at the wedding, along with Mike White, and Bob. It was a great gathering of soulless souls. Mike will forever be able to say that he watched Where;s Blue to calm him down on his wedding day.. It is truly a work of art!!
Well I've been staying quite busy lately, and I have no clue what I put in the last journal, but anyways, here is an update. I'm coaching basketball... Yeah.. Me... basketball. Should be fun. Also, Sometimes the lonliness kicks in, but you know, I don't let it get to me usually anymore... I let it fade away. My kids have kept me in pretty good company which I'm glad they are usually good. It isn't stressing me out too much anymore coming to school. I've had the kids sing a lot more than I did last year, but it is a good thing because most of their voices don't shatter my ears.
This past Saturday I was in the Register-Herald paper. They did an article about me working for Disney and included a couple pictures. It was great to see my face in the paper!!!
In other weekend news, I went to Parkersburg and visited with Michael Rhodes and his Fiancee Christy. it was a lot of fun and I have repaired Rhodes's original video and put together a dvd of old times.
For those of you who don't know about my college years... It was a time I don't think I would trade for anything... Even Disney... Well I dunno they are pretty close in terms of importance. The people I met were some of the greatest people I have ever known. It's an experience I could never have again with a different set of people. It was unique, fun, and the greatest experience I'll ever have. VIVA LA 2ND FLOOR!!

I promised I would stay for a few minutes and watch them practice their cheers and I watched for a while.. Then the first grader asked me to guess which waterbottle was hers... So I said I had no clue, and I had no clue she used it as an excuse to get out of her line to give me a hug. She started running over to me stopped and point at a waterbottle and then ran over and hugged me. When one does it, they all have to, so I had a bunch of kids wrapped around my legs trying to get them back in line. That will probably be the last practice I come to!!
Well, during the week I'm staying in Welch... Nice place, but it does nothing for my heart. It gets so lonely being there in Welch where I know noone. This is why I wanted to have someone before school started.. Something to look forward to when I got home. I don't have that. Instead, it's the same routine here, save for a few friends that I'll probably see this weekend. My life is boring... With gas prices up, I don't want to risk going out and end up spending 30 or 40 dollars for one tank of gas.
Anyways, I've been watching a bunch of news lately. I'm sure you all know what is on there by now, so I'm not going into it. I wished I could leave my job and go to help out. I went to new orleans when I was in the 8th grade. I loved that trip and I treasure that experience... Now I am left wishing I could have visited before this tragedy happened. It's sometimes horrible to watch the news knowing that I've been there in the Superdome... I've walked down some of those roads. It was such a beautiful place. I only hope and pray that they can restore the beauty.

I was teaching class, and showing the conga and he starting drawing something. He handed the drawings over, and behold, he drew quarter notes and eighth notes. The notes were nowhere in the room on the walls... nowhere at all. I went over them last year in class... but I had no clue of how much he paid attention to what I showed. I knew he was watching, but I didn't know how much he could comprehend just from pictures and movements without hearing what I was saying. Just awesome.. We were so much alike and we never knew it. We talked for hours throughout every night. That's right... talked... about emotions. Something I could never really get in depth with to anyone. ANYONE!! It felt so good to talk to someone about it and find out that she did the same thing. It's good to know that I'm not alone.. and I know it isnt healthy how I handle my anger. but it is better for everyone else.

Well, I'm in Disney now, and it's great!! My first day back at work was awesome and it reminded me about how great some people that work here are... It's kinda like Fight Club... The single serving friend... But sometimes you'll see them again, which is really nice! That's all I have to say since I'm heading into the parks now!
